The Archivist/Curator - Position Description and Recruitment Plan
The Archivist/Curator is a 12-month part time position, with a minimum of a Bachelors Degree (Preferably in Art Education/Art History). Additional roles of and qualifications of the web consultant include:
•       Increase the number of hits on the website and the number of schools  that use the materials in TIPHC's Archives and the ability to publicize and educate the public about the heritage of African Americans in Texas and beyond.
•       Working knowledge of processing object collection, photo/digital preservation, and the ability to create top quality exhibits and programs that celebrate the heritage  to reach statewide audiences.
•       Increase the amount of objects and historical narratives and documents preserved to save this endangered legacy. Increase digital scanning & imaging with a focus on drawings as well as letters, photographs.
